CTN Spotlight on ... Monique!
CTNX: Hello Monique, it's a pleasure to speak with you! Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
MM: I am a chicana first generation college student. I'm currently a junior at Cal State Universiry Northridge, majoring in animation.
CTNX: When and how did your relationship with CTN begin?
MM: My professor told our animation class about the volunteering opportunities for CTNX. I began volunteering for the expo in 2016.
CTNX: What have your positions been with CTNX and what have you learned most from your experience working with CTN?
MM: My position with CTNX has been a staffer at the workshops. What I've learned most is being able to be quick on your feet and being patient with large amounts of people.
CTNX: What are your ultimate career goals?
MM: My ultimate dream goal is being able to work for a major studio like Pixar, Dreamworks, or Illumination.
CTNX: How does working with CTN help you meet those goals?
MM: It's a great place to meet new people, not only can you make friends interested in similar fields, you can also meet people in the industry and get feedback on work.
CTNX: What have you learned most from your experience working with CTN?
MM: What I've learned most is being able to be quick on your feet and being patient with large amounts of people.
CTNX: What do you look forward to most in the coming years regarding your career?
MM: I look forward in creating works that can touch further generations to come.
